Congratulations Steven and Kelly!

Kelly and Steven's wedding was a little different than the typical wedding that I shoot, for a number of reasons. For one, it was in Orlando - at the Shades of Green resort at Disney. I had never been there before (it is for military personnel) but it was beautiful!

Also, their wedding was a bit smaller than most - there were a total of 13 guests! They live in Michigan, but wanted to get married in Florida. So they came down with their immediate families. It made for a really sweet, intimate, and special day! Everyone was so relaxed, and Kelly and Steven didn't have to stress over trying to talk to all of their guests.

Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your day! I hope you enjoy your photos!

Isn't Kelly just gorgeous?!

This is the same elevator that Steven proposed in! They were there on vacation with their families, and he was going to pop the question later that night.. but apparently he was so nervous that he just did it in the elevator. I love that story! So cute :)

Lauren and Matt are Engaged!

Several months ago Lauren contacted me via phone and email about shooting her upcoming wedding to her fiance Matt, and of course I was thrilled. So when I met up with the two of them to do their engagement session, I had never actually met them in person. As soon as I saw Matt I had that "I know this guy from somewhere" feeling... so eventually I had to say something. Turns out he had the same feeling.. so we started trying to figure out where we had met, and eventually we realized that we had been in the same college ministry our freshman year of college. Small world!
Anyways, I had so much fun with these two! They were up for something a little different, so I scouted out a new spot that had some older buildings and was also near the water. Just a warning: this post is a little longer than usual. As I was going through the pictures trying to pick the ones to post, I kept thinking "oh I love this one" and "oh wait this is my favorite" and "oh but I love this one too!" I had a really hard time narrowing it down! So I kind of didn't... I hope you like them as much as I do!

This is one of my favorites.. I love how Lauren looks!

There's something about the way that Matt is holding her back that I just love.. so romantic...

And I love the way Lauren is looking at him in this one.

After we left that spot, we had planned on going over to the railroad tracks. There was an old brick building right on the tracks, so we parked in that parking lot. When we got out a man came out of the building and kind of asked what we were doing. I thought he didn't want us parking there (even though the lot was empty) so I explained what was going on.. but I guess he was just curious, because then he said we could come inside and do some shots if we wanted - it was a boxing gym! Neither Matt nor Lauren are boxers, but we couldn't pass that up. He even gave them some gloves to wear. How fun is that?!

Ein and Rebecca are Engaged!

For Ein and Rebecca's engagement session, we headed over to the Botanical Gardens at FIT. I thought it would be a good place to go, since the theme for their upcoming wedding is "Enchanted Garden."

I enjoyed shooting these two; they were funny to watch! They talked and sang the whole time, and were totally up for anything I asked them to do.

I think a lot of these images are a little different than my usual style - but in a good way. I'm not sure really why or how... maybe part of the reason is the setting - it was an overcast morning, and because we were in the woods it was fairly dark. Also, I think part of the reason is that Ein and Rebecca were a little more relaxed in front of the camera than a lot of the couples I work with... but I think I like the look of these. Let me know what you think!

There's just something about this one that I like. It was a silly moment, and I like how they are laughing.

Baby Ali is 6 Months Old!

The older babies get, the more fun they get to photograph! And baby Ali is no exception. Because I photograph her every 2 months, I get to see all of the changes and new "tricks" - I love it!
At 6 months old, Ali is quite active! She can already roll over both ways, sit up, and is even starting to sort of "crawl". (All of that is amazing to me: Anna is only 5 weeks younger, but can only roll from her tummy to her back!)
Enjoy the pictures!

Sand does not taste good :)

Here's Ali as a newborn, and at 2, 4, and 6 months.

Happy Halloween!

We took Chris trick-or-treating tonight, but he seemed pretty bewildered by the whole thing. He did like the M&M's, though. However, when we got home and started handing candy out to the kids that came by, he really seemed to have fun - he loved putting candy in their bags.

Anna did well - she likes her stroller, so she enjoyed being pushed around the neighborhood.

I hope you had a fun evening, and ate a lot of candy! :)

Congratulations Alex and Kellie!

Recently I had the honor of photographing Alex and Kellie's wedding at the Rockledge Country Club. It was a relatively small wedding, but was such an intimate and sweet event. Alex and Kellie are blessed to have a wonderful group of friends and family! I really enjoyed being a part of the day.

If you are looking for a place to hold a wedding or other special event, I highly recommend this venue! The event coordinator, Valerie, was absolutely wonderful. Several times Kellie would start to ask for something, and Valerie would literally be on the way to do it before Kellie could even get all of the words out! Everything was beautiful, and the staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant to be around.

I would also highly recommend Amanda's Florist. The flowers were just beautiful!

Anyways, here are a few of their photos, with a slideshow set to the song from their first dance at the end. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Patch

This morning was Chris's first "field trip": his preschool class was planning to walk across the parking lot to visit the pumpkin patch! I knew I couldn't miss this one, so I tagged along :)

He seemed to enjoy carrying around some of the smaller pumpkins, and was proudly showing them to me.

After they had wandered around for a little while, his teacher read the class a story. I am still trying to figure out how she not only got Chris to sit still for it, but 5 other 3 year olds as well! The woman has talent! I'm lucky if I can get Chris to sit still for 5 seconds.

I love watching Chris learn and experience new things :)
