Lauren's Baby Bump

One of the things I love about my job is getting to photograph so many new beginnings: the beginning of new love, new marriages, and new babies! Getting to photograph this time in Lauren and David's lives was especially exciting, as they had waited so patiently for the Lord to bring this special blessing. I can't wait to meet baby Madeline!

Kyle and Ashley: The Day After

Recently Mark and I came up with a new arrangement for weekend mornings. See, he is NOT a morning person.. so usually I would get up with the kids. But after shooting a wedding on a Saturday, I was finding that it was hard to get up at 6:00 the next morning, which Anna has decided is a good time to wake up. Screaming. So, I convinced Mark that he could sleep on Saturdays if I could sleep on Sundays. Being the great guy that he is, he agreed. So when Kyle and Ashley asked about doing a sunrise session the morning after their wedding, I have to admit that I hesitated.. for about a second. After all, I don't get many brides who are willing to do these sessions... especially on the beach.. at sunrise.. I couldn't resist! And I think it was definitely worth getting up early for, don't you?!

I love this next series...

I was thrilled when Ashley said she was willing to get in the water! And for those of you who are wondering, her dress was NOT trashed in the least. A little wet and sandy, but nothing that a good cleaning won't take care of. But this next one is by far my favorite from the day!

The Coolest Maternity Session Ever

I'm not kidding - I really think this is the coolest session I've ever done.

For a long time, Matt and Anya tried unsuccessfully to have a baby. It looked like they would be unable to do so, but one of their good friends, Chari, felt the Lord calling her to give them a special gift: she offered to carry their child. So through His grace and the miracle of modern science, she is now carrying not 1 but 2 babies: it's twins! One girl and one boy, who are due to arrive in just a few months.

Anya really wanted some pictures of this special time, and I was thrilled when she asked! These babies are already so loved, and I loved getting to capture a small piece of that.

Congratulations Kyle and Ashley!

It was truly a joy to be a part of Kyle and Ashley's wedding. They are such a fun and sweet couple who love Jesus - what could be better? And I loved the colors and details that Ashley picked out for their "destination" wedding (the couple lives in Maryland).

Ok.. a bit of explanation on this one. So for most of the reception Ashley was on the dance floor having a great time.. while Kyle sat and hung out with his friends. No big deal, I just figured the guy didn't care to dance. And then all of a sudden (while Ashley was in the restroom) he jumps up on the dance floor and totally goes to town - the guy can dance! I was impressed :)

Congratulations Rob and Olivia!

Rob and Olivia's 10-10-10 wedding was a beautiful day that went off without a hitch! They got married at the Crowne Plaza, DJ Raf from DJ Shane Entertainment provided the music, and for the cake Olivia actually got a bunch of small cakes from Publix - yum! They looked so happy to be married, and everyone had a great time. Here are some favorites from the day!
