Little Livy

Last week I met up with Annie and Walker to photograph their little girl Olivia. It was a lot of fun chasing her all over the park! She didn't stop for a second - I ended up with quite a few shots of the back of her head as she ran away ;) But she was really cute, and I love working with parents who are head over heels for their little girls!
This is one of the rare times that I honestly can't pick a favorite - I love them all!

I think this one would look amazing printed on a large canvas, don't you think?

Congratulations Robert and Barbara!

Recently I met up with Robert and Barbara for their beach wedding. It was a very small, intimate event consisting of the couple, their dog Sadie, their two friends, Robert's parents and sister, and the officiant. But it was a pretty day, and a beautiful couple. What more could anyone want? :)

This is definitely my favorite from the day. I love the way Barbara looks at him.

Congratulations you two! Thank you for letting me be a part of your day.

Lisa and Family

For a little over a year now I have been a member of the Bridal Society. I have really enjoyed getting to know the other vendors in the area at our quarterly meetings. And the last meeting was no exception, as I met the fabulous Lisa from Lisa Marshall Photography. We soon discovered that we had one major thing in common (other than the fact that we are both photographers, of course) - we both have 3 year old boys. However, she's got one up on me - she has TWIN 3 year old boys. Oh my goodness - I don't know how she does it.

One problem with being a photographer is that we seldom get pictures with us in them. In fact, Lisa confessed that they had never done family pictures! I had some done back in December by the amazing Errol Colon, but I'm always up for more. So we decided to schedule a swap.

Last weekend we met up in downtown Melbourne for our session. It was a fun and crazy time - imagine trying to get 3 3-year old boys, a baby, two husbands, and two photographers to all cooperate! But everyone did great! We took turns doing each other's families for a few minutes at a time. And after we'd decided the kids had enough, we grabbed some dinner together.

So here's Lisa and her family. Be sure to check out her photos of us on her blog.

Can you tell the boys apart? I can't!

I think this one is my favorite :)

At one point I turned around and spotted this -so cute!

Twin boys.. and they've still got it!

Yes, that is a toy car on her head. We'll do anything to get kids to cooperate! :)

Thank you so much Lisa! I hope you love the shots :)

Congratulations Craig, Ashley, and Ryan!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Craig and Ashley's wedding. It was a short and sweet ceremony on New Smyrna Beach.. unfortunately, it was FREEZING outside! The bride, groom, and their guests handled it well, though, and everything went off without a hitch. It is couples like this that make me love my job :)

Ashley has an adorable 3 year old son named Ryan. He even put her shoes on for her!

After Ashley got ready we headed out to the beach, and I had a chance to grab a few shots of the two of them together before the ceremony.

I love the look on Ashley's mom's face ;)

Ashley's brother played the wedding march.

Little Ryan was really cold, but he couldn't help peeking out to watch the ceremony.

The Officiant even had Ryan come up for a special vow as a family.

So excited to be married ;)

Note to brides: here is a great idea. I can't tell you how many helpless bridesmaids I have watched fumbling with the bride's gown in an attempt to figure out the bustle. Well this brilliant mom solved the problem: she recorded the bridal shop demonstrating the bustle on her iphone, so when it came time to do it she played the recording so they could figure out how to do it.

The new family ;)

Congratulations you two! Thanks for letting me be a part of your day!
