Congratulations Bret and Kacie!

I'm always really excited when a couple asks me to photograph their wedding, but when Bret and Kacie asked me to capture their wedding day, "excited" is an understatement! I have known Kacie for a couple of years; she is the sister of Alyson, one of my closest friends. So it has been fun to hear about the development of her relationship with Bret... from meeting online, to waiting for him to be able to sell his motorcycle so that he could buy the ring (He is disciplined!)... and then finally the big day arrived!
Their wedding was a simple, sweet event at Kacie's father's church, First Baptist of Longwood. After all of the festivities were over, the couple had planned to have some time to get some extra pictures - I was thrilled! We started at a really pretty spot in Kacie's neighborhood, then headed over to Lake Eola, and then finished at the Gaylord Palms where they were staying the night.
I hope you enjoy the pictures from the day! The slideshow is at the end :)

Since they were going to be honeymooning in Vegas...

Congratulations you two!

Baby Ali is 1!

I can hardly believe that it has already been a year since I started photographing little Ali. It has been so much fun to watch her grow and learn! She's gone from a tiny helpless infant to a walking, jabbering, busy little girl in just 12 short months - amazing. But it has been a privilege to watch it all!
Here are a few pictures from her last session. For this one, Rye and Eddie wanted to do things a little different than the typical beach/park family shots.. so we got a few pictures at their house and then headed to downtown Melbourne. I love how they turned out!

Here's Ali as a newborn, and then at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 months and at 1 year.

She's walking already (and has been for a few months now!) This blows me away, since my Anna is only a month younger but isn't even close :)

Eddie's parents were down from NC, so they joined in the fun :)

She has a fascination with leaves!

Almost exactly a year before this photo was taken, Rye and Eddie sat on this same bench for a few minutes before leaving to go to the hospital to have Ali!

Yummy ;)

LOVE this one!

Just as we finished shooting, they handed Ali this cup.. and I had to grab one more shot...

Rye and Eddie, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of such an amazing year!

Welcome Baby Ross!

I think that this is probably one of the most special posts I have had the privilege to do. Mark and Kelly have been wonderful friends and neighbors since we moved into this house almost 4 years ago. But just recently the Lord answered their prayers in the form of a little baby they named Ross.

They had just completed the requirements to be eligible for adoption when they found out about little Ross. And in just 12 days he was placed in their arms! I can't imagine - instead of having 9 months to get ready, they had less than 2 weeks! Crazy! But they are (of course) so excited, and are amazing parents already. Ross is sure one loved little boy! And I am thrilled that not only do I get to live next door and watch him grow, but I also get to do it through the lens of my camera. So stay tuned; you'll be seeing a lot more of this little guy on here!

Beautiful Mommy :)

I think this is my favorite shot from the day; it makes me smile.

Mark and Kelly have the teamwork thing down!

Get me dressed!

I love little feet :)

Proud Grandparents (Ross isn't the first grandchild, though he is the first boy!)

Mark and Kelly also wanted to get some shots outside for their birth announcements. Both of them teach at Palm Bay Highschool, and Mark is also the announcer for the school's football team. Not to mention they are huge football (Penn State) fans (they mentioned they already have a Penn State college fund started for Ross. They were joking... I think) :) So, it was pretty easy to come up with a place to do a few shots outside!

Thank you two for the privilege of photographing your precious baby! I am so excited for how the Lord has answered your prayers.
