Baby Ali: Session 2

Recently I headed over to Rye and Eddie's house for baby Ali's second session. It is amazing how much she grew in just two months! (She was one week old at her first session, and 8 weeks here.) We decided for this shoot to try to capture their normal evening routine - so we did in about an hour what normally takes them several! We just did a little bit of everything. Little Ali was a great sport, and it was a lot of fun :)

Love those feet!

Such a sweet smile :)

Heading out for a walk

Bathtime!

She didn't seem to mind getting water in her face.

This one is so we can see how much she's grown... we took one in the same pose at our first session. (It's the last one).

After bathtime is "dinner"...

Haley decided to hang out this time.

Relaxing in front of their favorite shows

Rye wanted some pictures of Ali in the dress that she came home from the hospital in, before she grows out of it.

"Please, no more pictures!"

"I'm done."

Say Cheese!

One of Chris's favorite shows is a cartoon called "backyardigans", and one of his favorite episodes is about a robot who walks around saying "cheese, cheese, cheese" because he wants his picture taken. Because he likes it so much, Chris will often walk around saying "cheese" over and over and over again... which drives me nuts...
Mark put it on for him this evening, and when it was over he came into the kitchen where I was in the middle of taking a few pictures of Anna. So, of course, he got right in front of the camera and said "say cheese!" until I took his picture too. I just love this shot! Isn't he so cute?!

Congratulations Doug and Jessica! (Part 1)

Can I just say that I love my job?! I love everything about weddings - the beautiful brides (and grooms!), flowers, dresses, details, the crazy guests, the dancing... and Doug and Jessica's wedding was no exception. It was a simple event, and yet so elegant!
This is just a small handful of pictures - there are more coming, I promise! I just wanted to give you a "sneek peak". So stay tuned....

The Kids...

I can hardly believe that Anna is already 5 weeks old! (I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that Chris is almost 3..but that's another story.) She is a precious baby, and life is definitely sweeter now. She is sleeping fairly well at night, and usually only wakes me up once! Chris adores his little sister, and it is fun to see their relationship developing. No matter how hard he pokes her or how much he wiggles her around, she never cries - she just stares at him. And darn if she didn't smile at him today! I have to WORK to get her to smile at me, but she just sat there and grinned at him for nothing! It was a really sweet moment :)

Here's a picture so you can see how much she's grown... I took one of the same pose when she was just born; you can view it here. (it's the third one down)

I just love her little belly button!
And yes, she still resembles Yoda. :)
And Chris is still obsessed with trucks!
Apparently he was not in the mood to have his picture taken. As soon as I took the above shot, he picked up his trucks and turned around!

My sweet girl!

Lots more pics coming soon; stay tuned for baby Ali and Doug and Jessica's wedding!

Bryleigh and Elliana: Part Two

Last week I had the opportunity to do the second shoot for little Bryleigh and Elliana. They are now almost 4 months old - how time flies! They are growing like weeds, and their personalities are really developing. It was fun to see them interacting more with each other.

For some reason, I love how Bryleigh's little hand is sticking up ;)

Sweet Bryleigh

Gotta love spit bubbles!
Uh-oh!

Little Elliana - the more laid-back of the two

Compare this one to the one from last time - same pose. You can really see how big they are getting!

For some reason, this is one of my favorites from the session. It is just so peaceful!

I love this one, too. Maybe because holding my own little Anna like that is one of my favorite things in the world! There is just nothing sweeter than cuddling a sleeping newborn.

Milk Coma :)
