Happy Halloween!

We took Chris trick-or-treating tonight, but he seemed pretty bewildered by the whole thing. He did like the M&M's, though. However, when we got home and started handing candy out to the kids that came by, he really seemed to have fun - he loved putting candy in their bags.

Anna did well - she likes her stroller, so she enjoyed being pushed around the neighborhood.

I hope you had a fun evening, and ate a lot of candy! :)

Congratulations Alex and Kellie!

Recently I had the honor of photographing Alex and Kellie's wedding at the Rockledge Country Club. It was a relatively small wedding, but was such an intimate and sweet event. Alex and Kellie are blessed to have a wonderful group of friends and family! I really enjoyed being a part of the day.

If you are looking for a place to hold a wedding or other special event, I highly recommend this venue! The event coordinator, Valerie, was absolutely wonderful. Several times Kellie would start to ask for something, and Valerie would literally be on the way to do it before Kellie could even get all of the words out! Everything was beautiful, and the staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant to be around.

I would also highly recommend Amanda's Florist. The flowers were just beautiful!

Anyways, here are a few of their photos, with a slideshow set to the song from their first dance at the end. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Patch

This morning was Chris's first "field trip": his preschool class was planning to walk across the parking lot to visit the pumpkin patch! I knew I couldn't miss this one, so I tagged along :)

He seemed to enjoy carrying around some of the smaller pumpkins, and was proudly showing them to me.

After they had wandered around for a little while, his teacher read the class a story. I am still trying to figure out how she not only got Chris to sit still for it, but 5 other 3 year olds as well! The woman has talent! I'm lucky if I can get Chris to sit still for 5 seconds.

I love watching Chris learn and experience new things :)

Ryan, Keenan, and Family

When we first moved to Melbourne 3 years ago, I found out that one of my old college friends that I'd lost touch with, Ryan, actually lived in town - in fact, right around the corner. Not only that, but he was friends with some of Mark's friends, and even went to the same church that we started attending. I quickly became friends with his wife, Keenan, and we are so blessed to have them as friends. So, when Keenan asked me to do some photos of them and their son Jason, I jumped at the chance!

Keenan invited her parents and brother along for the fun, as it had been way too long since they'd had a family photo. Jason is not only Ryan and Keenan's first child, but also the first grandchild... so of course, he isn't spoiled at all.. :) (I can say that since they're my friends!) :)

Trying to get little guys to cooperate isn't always easy... it takes lots of patience, and you have to take a million shots to get the one where they are looking at you. But of course, the outtakes can be funny too :)

When Ryan threw Jason in the air, he threw him higher than he meant to which resulted in a somewhat awkward catch. He said that as Jason was coming down, he realized "Oh gosh - I have to catch him!" Um, yes. That would be a good idea!

We love you guys! Thanks for being such amazing friends!

Cute-as-a-button Heather and John are Engaged!

When I first spoke to Heather on the phone about shooting her wedding in December, I immediately knew that this was an amazing couple. And whenI finally got to meet Heather and John, one of my first thoughts was "oh my goodness, are they cute or what?!" I think I have the best job ever - I get to hang out with some really neat couples.
Anyway, these two came all the way from the other side of the state for their engagement session. It was a lot of fun, and I can't wait for their wedding! (I think I say that a lot) :)

This one is just fun :)

Holiday Sessions: Sunday Part 2

3 days.. 12 families.. whew! Here are the last two of the 12 families that I photographed for the Holiday sessions :)

Jonathan and Michelle came out with their son Josiah (and Trenton... almost) :) I love Josiah's baby curls.. and isn't Michelle a cute pregnant lady?!

And last but not least... Greg and Jen and their son Evan.

I love this sequence of shots.. especially the hat. :)

Some tilt-shift love.. I'm still learning it, but am having a lot of fun playing!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out! I had so much fun with each and every family - each was so different, and yet it was awesome to see so many families who just love each other. I hope these photos are a blessing to you!
