Happy 2nd Birthday Ella!

Recentlyh Evon contacted me to set up a time to get some photos of her family. Her granddaughter Ella was turning 2 and her daughter Ashleigh was in town... so we met up at SUNRISE (that's early!) for our session. If you've followed my blog for long some of them may look familiar... Evon is my neighbor Kelly's (baby Ross's mom) aunt, and also Evan's aunt. It's fun to get to know the whole family!

This is one loved little girl!

Three generations: Evon with her daughter Ashleigh, daughter-in-law Erin, and Ella.

Don't they look good even despite getting up so early?!

I was so excited to finally get her to look at the camera - for a split second! :)

Thank you all so much for meeting up with me so early!

Congratulations Joe and Lisa!

Some time ago I met Lisa while doing some staff photos for Consulate Health Care. Not long after that she contacted me about photographing her upcoming wedding to her fiance Joe at the Suntree Country Club. It was a unique wedding, as Joe is the proud owner of a beautiful Ferrari, and he had the car there along with some of his friends' cars. Of course, the car made it into a lot of the shots!

Moments before...

I think a photo of the groom's face as he first sees his bride is probably one of the most important photos of the day - and one of my favorites!

Joe's best man accidentally "lost" the wedding rings.. ok, not really - the bride's brother was in on the joke and had them in his pocket :)

Congratulations you two!

Baby Ross is 6 Months Old!

It's kind of sad - even though we live right next door to each other, I feel like I only see Ross every 3 months when we do these photos! Between mine and Kelly's busy schedules, just about the only times we see each other other than these sessions are the occasional chats at the mailboxes. So it was fun to see Ross and his new tricks!
This little guy is definitely not so little any more. He had just started rolling over, though he wouldn't do it for the camera. But he is definitely a strong little guy! And man, Mark and Kelly lucked out - he is so calm and content!

Here he is so we can see how he's grown... here's his newborn and 3 month pics just for comparison ;)

Love the drool :)

He has just started eating solids... though I don't know that he was too impressed with the peas!

Checking each other out...

Almost there!

So close! We thought for sure he was going to go all the way, but he plopped right back onto his tummy.

Logan and Charles: Part !!

A few weeks ago I met up with Logan and Charles for part 2 of their engagement session. We had done part 1 several weeks ago, but they wanted to do some at the Cocoa Pier, so we planned to finish the session there. I enjoyed meeting up with them again; they are a fun couple and are up for anything :)

This is apparently the very spot that Charles kissed Logan for the first time, and where they got engaged.

Boys...

I don't know if this was so much a sweet moment as much as it was a "if I fall, you're going in with me". :)

I love getting the same shot from different perspectives.. Here's the shot from one angle,

And this was taken from the other side.

We went down some stairs intending to walk onto the beach, but the tide was up so this was as far as we got.

Ok... (not so) funny story... so Logan and Charles started making a little drip castle. I got this great idea to put Logan's ring on the castle for a ring shot. Logan and Charles stood a little distance off while I took it. I got the shot below, and then decided to switch my lens for a different angle. I stood up and took off the lens, and it was at that moment that A WAVE CAME. I'm not kidding. A wave. It was like slow motion- the wave came and knocked the castle over. The ring disappeared. The three of us dropped to our knees, but the water was so cloudy it was impossible to see anything. The wave finally receeded... and the ring was still there. Oh my word - I don't think I have ever been so scared. And I definitely learned my lesson - no more rings within 5 miles of the water! (Of course, I would have replaced it.. but I would have had a hard time explaining that one to Mark!) Logan and Charles were super nice about it... I don't think I have recovered yet.

Logan and Megan are Engaged!

I was excited to meet up with Logan and Megan for their engagement photos a few weeks ago; they live in Virginia Beach so I hadn't had the chance to meet them yet. But I knew that as fellow Seminole fans, they were bound to be a great couple... and I wasn't disappointed :) Are they cute or what? We had a great time shooting their engagement photos, and I am excited for their wedding next month.

About halfway through the session Megan commented that they were having a great time shooting the session, and that they felt really comfortable with me. That was the best compliment I could have gotten! I know it can be stressful and uncomfortable being in front of the camera, so I'm glad I was able to make it fun for them.

I love this next one - kind of random, and I don't remember what was so funny, but I love Logan's expression and her laughter. One of the things that Megan loves about him is that he makes her laugh... I think this photo captures that!

Thanks so much you two for hanging out with me! I can't wait to work with you again next month.
